In the past five years, several employers have laid-off their employees by the thousands. Leaving many workers with no means of income.
Many of us have planned out our future goals and expectations of where we’ll be in a few years. However, our career might not be secure. So who’s building your career?
“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.” (Psalm 127:1-2 (KJV) God truly holds our future. “There are many plans in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.” (Proverbs 19:21 (KJV)
We should place ourselves in the Lord and seek his counsel. Only then will our purpose be establish. “Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. ” (Proverbs 15:22 (KJV)
Lets not labor in vain but with certainty. There would be much to gain. God has never broken a promise. Therefore we can depend on His word. He encourage us to, “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” (Proverbs 16:3 (KJV)
